When Aunt Ellen was 95 it was determined by the doctors at the hospital that she could no longer live by herself in her home. Luckily just prior to that, while researching possible living situations for her, we met Katerina and toured her beautiful home on the Mesa. When we were told that Ellen could not go home, Katerina was there with us to make the transition from the hospital to her other beautiful assisted living home. During this time of stress, Katerina was able to make this move seamless and as un-traumatic as it could be. During her four years at the Casa, we were so impressed with the level of care, the compassion of the staff, the contentment of the other residents, and the feeling of family that is instilled from Katerina and her staff. They truly made Ellen’s last years as comfortable, warm and loving as we could have hoped for. Ellen’s nephew, John, visited almost every day and always felt welcome and supported. We couldn’t have found a better place for Ellen during the last years of her life and will be forever grateful.

Our Family has heartfelt appreciation for Mom's care while at Casa San Miguel. Mom experienced extreme comfort and we all had a family like connection with the staff (Ellen and you in particular). Good moments of laughter and understanding were the norm and Mom said the food was the best, she loved it! Thanks to all.

Casa San Miguel is a beautiful care home, the home itself and the gardens are a haven for both the resident and their families. The competent staff provides a loving home environment complete with excellent personal care, specialized home cooked meals, one on one attention and plenty of hugs too. It is because of these reasons that I have such peace of mind and confidence that Mom is being well care for, as her daughter I could not ask for more! Dear Katya,
We very much appreciated your care and concern for Jane as she approached the end of her life. Jane was a testament to the value of the excellent care she received over the past seven years. We are convinced that, due to the care she received, Jane was here to attend the marriage of her granddaughter, spend time with her great-grandson and attend a number of family events. The effect of such good care is profound. We are so grateful.
